Sample Script:
Hello, my name is __________, and I am a constituent of Senator/Representative ___________'s in _______________, California. I am calling to urge the Senator/Representative to get back to work on a task that should have been accomplished by now: creating a legislative fix for President Trump's decision to end protections for Dreamers. The clock is ticking on Trump's March 5 deadline before the first group of DACA beneficiaries face deportation. The American people, by huge numbers in every poll, want and expect Congress to pass some version of the DREAM Act and create a permanent solution that allows Dreamers to stay in this country, putting them on a path to citizenship. Please finish this job, and stop getting distracted by things the American people DON'T want -- like tax cuts for the wealthy. Thank you!

A month ago, Democrats believed they had the outlines of a deal with Trump to pass the bipartisan Dream Act, which would protect eligible young immigrants who arrived as children and put them on a path to citizenship. However, Trump backed out of such a deal after congressional Republicans rebelled against it -- and lately he has demanded that a bill to protect the Dreamers include poison pills including border-wall funding and measures that would endanger the ability of Dreamers' families and friends to remain in the U.S.

Every day that Republicans demand extreme deportation and security provisions be added to the Dream Act in order to earn their support, the Dreamers' situation becomes more perilous.
