Short Script:
Hello! My name is _______, and I am a constituent of Senator Harris'/Feinstein's in ____________, California. I'm calling to urge her to strongly oppose any bill in the Senate that resembles the House Republicans' Trumpcare bill. The executive director of the American Public Health Association called the bill "dangerous, deadly and deeply flawed." I agree, because [tell personal story here].
If Republicans in the Senate can't maintain our guarantees of essential benefits under the Affordable Care Act, including coverage of pre-existing conditions, their bill should never reach the floor. It's time for Democrats to make sure Republicans don't get away with stealing health coverage from 23 million people. Thank you!

Now that the Congressional Budget Office has scored the House Republicans' version of Trumpcare, its flaws are apparent. Millions of people will find themselves unable to afford health coverage -- particularly older, sicker Americans who will see premiums skyrocket, and people with pre-existing conditions whom some states will allow insurers to deem uninsurable.

California's senators, Kamala Harris and Dianne Feinstein, have invited their constituents to share their healthcare stories -- how the Affordable Care Act has worked for them, and how their health would suffer under the Trumpcare bill if it is passed into law. The senators will use these stories to bolster their arguments against a Senate version of the bill. Even if you don't have a personal story, your input is encouraged -- the senators want to have strong numbers on their side.
