Today, we stand in solidarity with LGBTQ+ citizens across the country and here in the Conejo Valley. Plan to attend one of the events below to show your support. Last week, the Trump administration launched a full-out assault on the rights of Transgender people serving in the military and on civil rights protections for LGBTQ+ in the workplace. Some of us have been able to protest, and here are two other important ways for our LBGTQ+ and allied members to stand in solidarity.
Join Indivisible: Conejo tonight for the Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting for the LGBTQ+ Resource Center in Ventura from 5-8pm. The dream of reopening a community resource center serving the LGBTQ community here in Ventura County is no longer a dream but a reality. The boards of Diversity Collective, Project Safer, Rainbow Umbrella, and HOPE invite you to join us for:
- 5:00 to 6:00 Ventura Chamber of Commerce Ribbon Cutting Ceremony
- 6:00 to 8:00 Open House, DMG Photobooth, appetizers, free champagne, sparkling cider, music, community art show, a fantastic raffle, no-host bar and more!
