PLEASE NOTE: THIS EVENT HAS BEEN POSTPONED UNTIL LATE JANUARY! Please watch our website for updated information on the exact time and location for the event.
The mass shooting at the Borderline Bar & Grill has brought America's gun-violence epidemic home to the Conejo Valley. This Town Hall meeting will memorialize the victims and address issues surrounding the tragedy -- including the legality of various weapons and ammunition magazines, as well as laws concerning Gun Violence Restraining Orders. Other topics of discussion may include active-shooter drills and school safety, as well as gun shows at the Ventura County Fairgrounds. The event is being organized by the student leaders of Never Again SoCal, along with the Westlake High chapter of UNA-USA, the Ventura County chapter of the Brady Campaign for the Prevention of Gun Violence, and Indivisible: Conejo. Program details and participants are still to be determined, and the date, time and location may change depending on participants' availability. Please watch for more details in the coming days -- including an opportunity to reserve seats for this important event.
