Like the rest of our community, Indivisible: Conejo activists are still recovering from the tragedies of November. Even as we focus on the policy challenges raised by the Borderline shooting and Woolsey Fire, we’re looking back on our midterm-election victories and preparing to go on offense with our legislators in 2019-20. Look inside this newsletter for details of our upcoming Town Hall on Gun Violence, our Holiday Potluck, and our January General Meeting!

Indivisible: Conejo has endorsed three candidates for the CVUSD board - Jenny Fitzgerald, Cindy Goldberg and Bill Gorback - and has joined with the new PAC Conejo Together to propel those candidates toward November. Our “ON TO VICTORY!” GENERAL MEETING is coming up on August 19 … and the August calendar is replete with opportunities to work toward flipping Congress, protest the NRA, join in the second annual Indivisible March, and more.
Indivisible: Conejo is excited to announce its endorsements for the 2018 CVUSD board race: Jenny Fitzgerald, Cindy Goldberg and Bill Gorback. We are confident that these three candidates will carry sanity and moderation to victory this fall, and restore our district's reputation for excellence.
With the California primary in the books, and our success encouraging the Thousand Oaks City Council not to officially oppose our “sanctuary state” law, activists now turn our sights to the fall midterm elections. In the meantime, there are still immigration battles to be fought, Pride to be celebrated — and Indivisible: Conejo’s upcoming Summer Bash on June 30. RSVP now!

June 5 will be a defining day for the city of Thousand Oaks. Will the City Council end our recent battle over SB 54 by turning away the anti-immigrant horde, or will its vote mark T.O. as a bigoted backwater? Will our community respond to the CVUSD board extremists’ latest misbehavior by calling out their censorship and their dysfunctional governance? Will the California primaries launch Democrats toward a House majority?
Our Town Hall with Rep. Ted Lieu brought the congressman together with Conejo Valley students and activists to talk about preventing gun violence, Trump and the 2018 elections, and other issues. Dramatic developments at the T.O. City Council and CVUSD board once again require our activism — and the campaign season’s canvassing schedule is heating up!
Anti-immigrant agitators have brought the drive to undermine SB 54 to Thousand Oaks and surrounding cities — so we must rise up again to defend California values and our immigrant neighbors! Meanwhile, more protests & town halls have kept the debate going over gun violence — and we’re gearing up for Rep. Ted Lieu's Town Hall on May 5 in Agoura Hills! Lots of canvassing opportunities are coming soon — and you can still order your Indivisible: Conejo tee shirt through Monday 4/30!
