Indivisible: Conejo activists helped Get Out The Vote in the Alabama Senate race this week, participating in postcard parties and texting campaigns. We're getting excited about Sunday's Indivisible: Conejo Holiday Wine Tasting & Open House! We're also planning a Day of Action to stop gun violence this Thursday. Read all about it!
Indivisible: Conejo's battle against the #TrumpTaxScam continued in the weeks surrounding Thanksgiving, while election-related activities are gearing up, targeting races as far away as Alabama and as nearby as Rep. Steve Knight's district just northeast of us. In this week's newsletter you'll find a precis of our Swing District planning for 2018, and details of our HOLIDAY WINE TASTING & OPEN HOUSE on December 17!
Indivisible: Conejo has continued its fights against censorship in the Conejo Valley USD, and against the #TrumpTaxScam in CA and nationwide, throughout November with protest rallies and public advocacy. There are plenty of opportunities to help swing Rep. Steve Knight's district coming up, and SAVE THE DATE for our HOLIDAY BASH on Dec. 17!
This week Indivisible: Conejo's "365 DAYS TO VICTORY!" meeting offered strategy, tactics and motivation we'll need to flip Congress in 2018 -- work that continues this month! On Wednesday we'll be back in the streets, protesting Trump's Tax Scam; on Tuesday we'll back in the CVUSD board chambers, fighting another extremist censorship attempt. Our work is just getting started!
Indivisible: Conejo steams toward its all-important Nov. 4 general meeting, "365 DAYS TO VICTORY!", with Issue Action Team meetings and phone banks to flip the Virginia state legislature. Our Postcard Party, penning notes to voters in southeastern and southwestern VA, was a rousing success (as always). Check it all out!
Even as our Issue Action Teams lead the way in preparing for our "365 Days To Victory!" general meeting on Nov. 4, Indivisible: Conejo had much to celebrate this week. A fundraising initiative for Sherman Alexie's "Part-Time Indian" forced CVUSD to fund purchases of the book itself, while participation in our phone banks reached new heights. Read all about it in this week's newsletter!
It's been a week of excitement, challenges and transition for Indivisible: Conejo and its activists. We're getting ready for our November 4 General Meeting; we're planning more Phone Banks and Postcard Parties(!) to reach Virginia voters; our Issue Teams are picking up the pace; and lots more. Check it all out!
The week began with heartbreak, and ended with action, both on sensible gun control and a host of issues from DACA to healthcare. Read on for how to take action in the face of overwhelming Republican disregard for life.
Rep. Julia Brownley joined us for a healthcare rally last Saturday, and we won that fight (temporarily) on Tuesday when Republicans pulled their last-ditch repeal bill. Extremists on the CVUSD board are at it again, necessitating more Indivisible activism. And we're calling in the California Cavalry to help flip Virginia's legislature this November! Read all about it in this week's newsletter.
